In view of possible spread of Covid-19, the district administration has clamped Section 144 CrPC around several temples to prohibit congregation during Kartik Purnima festival.
The shrines where the restrictions have been clamped include Madhuban Jagannath Temple in Paradip, Maa Sarala Temple at Kanakpur, Gada Kujang Jagannath Temple, Grameswar Temple at Panchapalli, Sarabanta Jagannath Temple at Sahadabedi, Shree Brundaban Bihari Jew in Erasama, Garoi Jagannath Temple, Nilakantheswar Temple at Korua, Gothada Matha at Gothada, Chandapura Jagannath Temple, Alana-II Jagannath Temple in Nuagaon, Dhyankund Jagannath Temple in Biridi, Muchkunda Mahadev Temple at Somanath Hat, Gatanath Mahadev Temple at Bionla, Sidhala Jagannath Temple in Jagatsinghpur, Gorekhnath Temple and Bije Kerekera in Raghunathpur.
