Senior advocate, noted academician and one of the distinguished members of Dehradun Bar Association, Chitranand Thapliyal passed away on Wednesday. He breathed his last at his E C road residence. He was 88.
A strong votary of ethics in legal practices, Thapliyal apart from being an eminent lawyer of the region was also a faculty with the law department of DAV (PG) College, one of the biggest colleges of the Uttarakhand region. Many generations took to the legal profession under his tutorship. He hailed from Pauri district of Uttarakhand. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, daughters-in-law and three grandchildren.
