Sex racket busted: 5 women among 7 held

Seven persons, including five women, involved in a sex racket were nabbed from a house in Chhatrasal Nagar under Piplani police station area on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, regarding suspicious activities a policeman posing as customer went to the house where the flesh trade was operated and later the house was raided.

During the raid two men and five women were found. One of the men Prashant Gautam alias Vijay escaped the spot while other men identified as Mithun used to operate the sex racket and worked for one the nabbed women.  Mithun used to provide photographs of the women on offer over Whatsapp and would charge over Rs 2000 per customer. Police have recovered objectionable material, mobile phone and cash from the nabbed accused. The women and men were found from different rooms of the house.The accused Mithun revealed that he used to  run prostitution business and used car bearing registration number MP04CN2879 for bringing women and customers to the place he used to take for running illegal business.

The house was rented around six months ago and based on complaints received from the neighours and locals, the raid was conducted by the police.

The police have registered a case under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). Police said that nabbed accused would be searched in the further investigation.In the investigation police found that Mithun has developed network of women involved in flesh trade and would provide them customers.
