But, the Congress leader who has not done his home work properly is giving fake rape figures and presenting rape figures five times more than the actual incidents.”

The BJP leader also challenged Dubey to reveal the source, from where he had received such a figure, failing which he should make an apology publicly on television debate.

Shahdeo talking to The Pioneer said, “Congress’ politics revolves around false propaganda. From R to R (from Rahul to Ranchi) entire Congressmen politics is on giving false figures.”

The BJP spokesperson said that in contrast to 1426 rape cases reported in 2019 as per NCRB data, in 213 days of Soren government the State has recorded 1033 rape cases.

The BJP leader said that BJP has been raising rising crime incidents in Jharkhand especially those against members of scheduled caste (SC).

Shahdeo said the Jharkhand High Court has observed that Hathras wasn’t just a place in Uttar Pradesh, but exists in Jharkhand as well. The FIR filed by a 15-year old girl’s father says that Pintu Paswan, a man who lives in Dhanwar, Giridih had sprinkled kerosene on her daughter and had set her afire.
