Six deaths of Covid positive patients were reported while 395 fresh cases were found in various districts of Chhattisgarh on Thursday, officials said.
Also 217, patients were discharged from hospitals.
A 47-year-old man from Fafadih locality in Raipur was detected Covid positive and was admitted in Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital Raipur on July 31. He died on Thursday, the officials said.
A 60-year-old woman from Mathpurena locality of Raipur was admitted in DKS Hospital, Raipur, in a serious condition on July 31. She had breathlessness and severe diabetes. She suffered brain hemorrhage and pneumonia. Later, she was detected Covid positive and was shifted to Ambedkar hospital on August 4 where she died.
A 37-year-old man from Rajnandgaon was admitted in the government Medical College Rajanandgoan on August 4 with acute respiratory distress and diabetes. He was referred to AIIMS Raipur and he died on Wednesday, the officials said.
A 63-year-old man from Gudhiyari in Raipur who had suffered brain hemorrhage, high blood pressure, breathlessness and fever was admitted in AIIMS Raipur on Wednesday. He was found Covid positive and died on Wednesday.
A 55-year-old man from Potapar Pithora in Mahasamund district was suffering from fever and cough for the past seven days. He was admitted in AIIMS Raipur on August 2 and was detected Covid positive. He later suffered multiple cardiac arrest and was on life support. He died on Thursday, the officials said.
A 40-year-old man from Malkhorad in Janjgir-Champa was admitted in Janjgir Covid care on August 4. He committed suicide.
With these deaths, so far 77 persons have died due to Covid in Chhattisgarh.
So far, 10,932 persons have been detected Covid positive while 8,088 have been discharged. Currently there are 2,767 active cases in Chhattisgarh.
