Even as the south west monsoon advanced into the entire State on Wednesday, the state meteorological centre has issued an alert regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in five of the state’s districts on Thursday.
The state meteorological centre director Bikram Singh informed that the south west monsoon had advanced into the entire state on Wednesday. On Thursday, the state meteorological centre has forecast light to moderate rain/thundershowers at most places in all districts of Uttarakhand. However, an alert has also been issued regarding the possibility of heavy ro very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Dehradun districts on Thursday. Dehradun is likely to experience partly to generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershowers likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the state were 33 degrees Celsius and 25.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33.9 degrees Celsius and 25.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.5 degrees Celsius and 14.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.8 degrees Celsius and 17.2 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
