State gets Covid gear from APF

Medical kits in the tune of Rs 3.28 crore were provided to the State Government from Azim Premji Foundation by PHIA Foundation. These medical kits include 12,700 PPE kits, 20,300 N-95 masks, 5 True Nat machines and 2 Thermo Fisher RNA extractor machines.

The CM thanked the Azim Premji Foundation for this cooperation. The CM said all the necessary resources are being used by the State Government for the prevention and treatment of corona.

“People of every section and class come forward for help in this. With the cooperation of all, we will win in the ongoing war against Corona,” he said.

The representatives of PHIA Foundation said that the Thermo Fisher RNA extractor machine could test 2,000 samples everyday. This machine is being installed at RIMS of Ranchi and Itki Sanatorium. TrueNat machines will test 1,000 samples daily so these two machines will test 3,000 samples everyday. Johnson Topno, Regional Head of PHIA Foundation and Kamal Chand, the Program Coordinator were present on the occasion.
