Amid a sudden spike in caseload and deaths due to Covid-19 in Chhattisgarh, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Dharamlal Kaushik on Sunday alleged that the state government was not sensitive towards the situation.
He said that once again deaths and cases of Covid are increasing and the government is blaming the delay in taking treatment as the reason for the deaths.
The state government's policies are responsible for the deaths due to corona, the BJP leader said, adding that it was putting out false information to cover up its failure.
Kaushik alleged that the government has distanced itself from the people due to Covid.
Chhattisgarh ranks seventh in active corona case. So far, 2,691 people have died due to the virus and daily 10 people died in the last nine months in the state, Kaushik said.
He said that necessary materials should be distributed free of cost to check the spread of the disease.
Also, a collective insurance of Rs 1 crore should be provided for everyone fighting corona, he added.
