State Govt to open ITIs in six districts

The State Cabinet on Wednesday approved establishment of new Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in six districts of the State. The new ITIs will be opened in Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh, Dumka, Simdega and Giridih. Rs 34.41 crore will be spent in the entire scheme. An administrative building and a 100-bed hostel will be built in an ITI unit. In this entire scheme, 20.65 crores will be spent from the Central head and Rs 13.77 crores from the State head.

The State Cabinet on Wednesday gave nod to 15 proposals in the meeting, under which in the financial year 2020-21, a total amount of Rs  100 crore was approved from the Jharkhand Contingency Fund (JCF) for the prevention of Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19) in the State.

The scheme, which is being implemented to help the Covid-19 affected people from the MLA Fund, under which Rs 25 lakhs are being spent by every MLA in their area, was also approved by the Cabinet.

Under the e-court project, the extension of period for 23 posts of system officers created for the District Courts of the State and the Jharkhand High Court from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021 was also approved.

The state government has decided to give 10 acres of land for the establishment of a Central school in Palamu. The government will give this land for free. Land has been identified in Pokharaha Khurd of Medininagar.

The Cabinet also approved the proposal to take a loan of Rs 229.23 crore under IRDF 25, the second scheme of water harvesting. This loan will be taken from NABARD. The cost of this scheme to be completed in 2025 is Rs 300 crores.

The Cabinet also gave approval of Rs 84.95 for the transportation, handling and distribution of foodgrains to distribute 5 kg of food grains (rice) per beneficiary per month free of cost to the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act, 2013 under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
