State students excel in JEE Advance 2020

Students from various schools across Jharkhand have excelled in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020, the results of which were announced on Monday by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi on its official website jeeadv.ac.in. Anushka Kumari from Dhanbad emerged as the State topper with an All India Rank (AIR) of 177.

Daughter of LIC officer SN Singh, Anushka scored 99.97 percentile in JEE Mains and passed the class XII examination from Doon Public School with 96.4 percent marks this year.

From the State capital, Dayal Kumar, a student of Delhi Public School got AIR 259 and became the second topper from Jharkhand while Akshat Kumar from the same school secured AIR 290. Dayal had scored 99.99 percentile in JEE Mains 2020 which was announced by the National Testing Agency in September and was declared the State topper.

“I want to pursue software engineering and hope to get admission in IIT Kharagpur or IIT Kanpur on the basis of the marks I have scored. Apart from the school and coaching classes that I attended, I would also make it a point to do self study on holidays. My family and teachers have been my greatest supporters,” said Kumar. His father Late Shashikant Pandey was the Principal of DAV Baharagora and his mother Veena Devi is a housewife.

As many as 55 students of DPS Ranchi including Abhas Jain, Abhijeet Singh, Spandan Mitra among others have cleared the exam. Principal Ram Singh said that students have worked very hard for the prestigious exam and have delivered the desired results.

Around 46 students from JVM Shyamali, Ranchi have cleared the exam. B Anshuman scored the AIR 651 while Harshit Raj and Namita Kumari got AIR 934 and AIR 1382 respectively among others. Principal Samrjit Jana congratulated the students for their hard work and wished them success for a bright future.

From Oxford Public School, Ranchi eight students including Ujjwal Kumar, Vivek Kumar, Prashant Kumar have cleared the JEE Advanced 2020. Chairman Dr SBP Mehta and Principal Suraj Sharma said that it is because of the hard work of the students, teachers and corporation of the guardians that the school is scaling new heights.

From Sarla Birla Public School Ranchi, Pranjal Pratyush cleared the JEE Advanced 2020 exam.

Meanwhile, 107 students of Champ Square, a City based coaching institute have cleared IIT JEE Advanced Examination 2020. Akshat Kumar from Ranchi who scored AIR 290 had enrolled for a three- year classroom program with the institute.

Proving his talent, Kumar Devesh of DBMS English School emerged as the topper from Jamshedpur with 339 rank in the JEE (Advanced) while Supriti Kumari, a student of Rajendra Vidhaylaya stood second with 393 rank.

“I am thankful to my parents, teachers in school for achieving this feat.  I want to pursue a career in the field of computer science. I want to become a software engineer,” said Devesh, son of businessman Sandeep Agarwal and mother Seema Agarwal.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro created history as more than 35 students qualified in JEE Advanced 2020. Uttam Kumar with AIR 661 has secured the top most position in the list and was also declared as the topper from the district. Several other students have also shown their mettle by qualifying JEE Advanced -2020.

Principal Ashok Kumar Jha congratulated the toppers and wished that they would make the school proud by their future endeavors as well.

The Pentecostal Assembly School, Bokaro once again feels blessed as it celebrates the exuberant achievement of their students who appeared for JEE Advanced 2020 and were lucky enough to crack the examination with excellent rank. The students who cracked JEE are Aditya Anand with the rank of 2430, Ayush Sinha with 4796 and Sweta Kumari with 5977.

Principal of the school, Dr Karuna Prasad took the opportunity to congratulate the students and wish them all the best for their prestigious accomplishments.
