Apart from various precautionary measures taken in the state to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the state machinery is maintaining vigilance and undertaking necessary measures.
According to the health bulletin issued on Wednesday, till date a total of 794 persons from China and other novel coronavirus affected countries have been identified and tracked and all have been placed under surveillance.
A total of 390 persons have completed 28 days of observation after coming back from China and other affected countries while 356 persons are under observation as on Wednesday.
A total of 67 samples have been collected for COVID 19 testing till date.
Result of 29 samples has been received of which 28 are negative and one is positive while the result of 38 samples is awaited. Further, 27 samples of close contacts of positive case have also been sent for testing.
Quarantine facilities have been made operational in Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts with the state geared up to admit any person who needs institutional quarantine.
