Amidst on going lockdown in the city, Station Road Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee has lend helping hands to feed the poor and distribute essential commodities.
From past 45 days the officials of Gurudwara are reaching poor people and serving healthy food to them. The food is also being served among workers of Jugsalai Municipality. The initiative aims to help the needy workers, locals and families during the coronavirus lockdown.
Sardar Shailendra Singh, president, Jharkhand State Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee lauded the efforts of Station Road Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee. He said that the members are maintaining social distancing and people standing in queues are being served the food.
Those serving food to the needy had also covered their faces and hands using masks and gloves as a precautionary measure. He said that steps taken by Gurudwara will help to meet hunger pangs in the society.
“We are maintaining the norms of social distancing while we are serving the food. Our priority is to ensure that food served is hygienic. We have also trained our volunteers about hygiene and social distancing,” said Mahendrapal Singh, predident of Station Road Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.
Senior functionaries of the Station Road Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Kamaljeet Singh, Hardeep Singh, Narendrapal Singh, Davinder Singh ( Raja) and Ravinder Singh were present on the occasion.
