Stone laid for houses for Assembly staff

Stone laying ceremony for new houses proposed for the residence of the employees working in the Assembly and Capital Project Administration at the MLA Rest House Complex was held in the presence of Speaker of Madhya Pradesh state Assembly Rameshwar Sharma on Monday.

Principal Secretary of Legislative Assembly AP Singh, ENC Jawahar Singh of Capital Project Administration, Local Councilor Dinesh Yadav, Officers of Vidhan Sabha Secretariat and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Addressing the occasion, Sharma said that the plan to construct these houses from pending for over two decades.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wished that new houses should be built for the employees at the earliest, so that they could live happily in new houses instead of old houses.

Sharma said that after becoming the chairman, when it came to his notice that the work of construction of the house of the employees was pending for a long time and  got Rs 6.63 crore from the Urban Development and Housing Department for this project and now the employees Construction of new housing is being started.

He said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan are working for the welfare of every section. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, work is going on fast to provide housing to every houseless by 2022.

He  informed that 1400 new houses have been constructed in the form of flats for employees in the Smart City Project. Soon the Chief Minister will also hand over the keys of those houses to those employees.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary of the Assembly Secretariat A.P. Singh informed that new houses are being constructed for employees in an area of 2 acres.

Here, 20 H type and 20 I type houses will be constructed for third and fourth class employees. 4 blocks will be constructed for houses, 10 houses in one block. Along with this, arrangements for gardens and parking will also be made.
