nMinister of Home, Public Works, Jails, Religious Trusts, Tourism and Gariaband district in-charge Tamradhwaj Sahu on Monday called for steps to stop illegal dumping of paddy from other states.
At a meeting via video conferencing with officials of the district, he instructed the police as well as Revenue and Forest Departments to jointly monitor and stop the illegal transportation and dumping of paddy.
He ordered implementation of all departmental schemes within a time frame and in a disciplined manner without compromising on quality. He also called for special steps to prevent corona infection in the district.
Sahu said construction work of gothans (cow sheds) should begin by identifying sites in each panchayat. Top priority must be given to this task.
He sought information regarding manufacture and sale of vermicompost under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. He wanted officials to take steps to make gothans self-reliant.
The meeting was attended by Rajim MLA Amitesh Shukla, Collector Nileshkumar Kshirsagar and Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel among others.
