The students of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD) gave a spontaneous performance during a class presentation held here on Monday. The students performed filmy stunts and stage fight scenes during the presentation.
The students gave performance under the direction of Parvez Khan. The students participated in the workshop. Notably, the workshop was organized as a part of classroom practice.
The 10-day workshop ‘Film Making Process’ has given the students an opportunity to brush up their creative skills and to know about various aspects of film stunted and stage action scenes.
During the workshop, the students were instructed in the basics of action scenes and other technical aspects of performing war scenes in the theatre. The workshop also focuses upon the choice of the idea before making a film. Besides, the choice of the target audience is also part of the workshop.
Parvez Khan also told the students about the outdoor and indoor shootings. He emphasized the dos and don’ts in the action process. Talking about the acting part, he highlighted the expressions and body language of the actors.
During the workshop, the students were divided into groups and were given tasks and assignments by Khan.
The war scenes presented on stage gave thrills to the audience. The presentation of martial arts, sword fighting and bamboo sticks added charisma on stage. The war scenes and the transformation scenes were spell-bindingly performed which was much appreciated by the audience.
