The deceased has been identified as Naresh Kumar. Police said that he ran a Tattoo shop at South Extension-I on rent and his landlord was one Anil Baisla. In a suicide note recovered, Kumar alleged his landlord Anil Baisla to be the reason behind his death.

According to Atul Kumar Thakur, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district, the incident took place on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

“On Wednesday, we received information at K.M Pur police station from AIIMS Trauma Center that a patient named Naresh had hanged himself at home. He was admitted by his younger brother Gopal Krishan, Karan and Mohit but was declared dead during treatment,” said the DCP.

“During enquiry, statements of deceased's brother Gopal Krishan, Mohit and Karan were recorded. During preliminary probe, it has emerged that Kumar and his landlord had some money dispute allegedly over payment of rent. Baisla had even filed a court case against Kumar over their money dispute and the hearing for the case was scheduled on Wednesday and these facts are being investigated,” said the DCP.
