The headmaster of Baradanga-based Jagamohan Nodal High School under Mahakalapada block was placed under suspension by the District Education(DEO) officer on Tuesday for violating Covid guidelines.
Notably, While the state Government has closed down all the educational institutions and private tuitions/coaching classes across the State due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, headmaster Giridhari Rout gave private tuition by congregating more than 60 students. To the surprise, neither the students wore masks nor did they follow social distancing. Even, when it has been restricted for a Government teacher to indulge in private tuition, Rout was indulged in it.
District Collector Samarth Verma came across a viral video in this regard. Taking the matter seriously, he directed the DEO of Kendrapada to conduct an inquiry and take stern action.
