Cold wave conditions have intensified across the State as mercury plummeted below 15 degree Celsius at 12 stations on Monday.
Lowest temperature of the day was recorded in Daringbadi at 9 degree, followed by Phulbani 11 degree, Sonepur 11.4 degree, Angul 11.6 degree, Baripada 12 degree, Keonjhar 12.4 degree, Talcher 12.5degree, Bhawanipatna 13.6 degree, Jharsuguda 13.8 degree, Koraput 14 degree, Cuttack 14.5 degree, and Chandbali 14.8 degree.
Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum temperature of 16 degree. On the other hand, thick fog engulfed Phulbani, Sundargarh, Koraput, Talcher, Balangir and Bhawanipatna on Tuesday morning.
Visibility was reduced to 100 metre in Phulbani and Sundargarh while it was 300 metre in Koraput due to the fog.
