Vijay Prakash Singh, Executive Director and Resident Editor of The Pioneer, was bereaved on Thursday when his elder brother, Shiv Prakash Singh, died of COVID-19 at Sanjay Gandhi Post-graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) here.
Shiv Prakash Singh, 62, was a businessman and is survived by his wife and two sons.
Singh, a businessman, tested positive of coronavirus infection after Diwali and was admitted to the SGPGIMS on October 16. His condition deteriorated and he was shifted to the ICU where he breathed his last on Thursday.
The family members said the cremation would take place on Friday at the crematorium as per the Covid guidelines.
The Pioneer family condoles this untimely death and prays to God to give courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
