Three drug peddlers nabbed

Crime Branch has nabbed three drug peddlers at Habibganj railway crossing and recovered 26 kgs of cannabis worth `60,000 and a scooter used for carrying drugs  from their his possession. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Police said that acting on a tip-off regarding men carrying drugs were nabbed near Habibganj railway crossing and when they were searched 26 kg of Cannabis was recovered from their possession.

The nabbed accused were identified as Sudeep alias Kalla Uthwar, Deepak Kumar  Prajapati and Sunil Vanshkar.

Police said that the details of procurement and delivery of the drugs would be searched in the further investigation. After the initial investigation police have registered a case under sections 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act.

During the investigation providing modus operandi accused revealed that accused Sunil and Deepak bring drugs illegally from Visakhapatnam and a trader from Titlagarh Orissa to the railway station in Bhopal, they would hide drugs in toilets of general and sleeper bogies of passenger trains under wallsheet and side wallsheet, and would sit in the other bogies.

The accused would drop the packets between Habibganj and Bharat talkies other aides would collect the packets. They would travel by trains arriving in Bhopal at night.

The drug peddlers would bring the drugs in train from Visakhapatnam, Titlagarh Orissa. Gang is involved in drug trafficking in different states like Delhi, Jaipur and Jhansi.
