In the Musakehdi area of Indore, a dispute occurred between a police head constable and the anti-encroachment team of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Tuesday.

The anti-encroachment team noticed a head constable of MP police, in uniform posted in the Indore police motor department, was not wearing mask.

The head constable told that he was carrying the mask in the scooter but he forgot to wear the mask for which the IMC employees forced him to pay the fine for not wearing mask later the conversation between the IMC employees and the police head constable turned into a hot brawl and heated argument and during the brawl the Indore municipal employee who himself was not wearing mask hit the police constable with a punch in the stomach.

A large crowd witnessed this incident on the busy market road and for some time a situation of chaos prevailed in the area. Few days back the removal team also overturned the hand pulling cart of the egg seller in the name of removal of encroachment from the main road side which for which the behavior of the IMC removal team was highly criticized by Indore residents. And now this hitting of the policeman in the stomach in broad day light by the IMC removal team employee in the name of not wearing mask is again became a talk of the town as the video went viral on the social media.

The IMC employees not only hit the policeman but also snatched the key of his scooter. SP East Indore Vijay Khatri told The Pioneer that the incident has come in  his notice and the legal action will be taken against the employee of the IMC who has hit the policeman and it is unlawful to hit and abuse anybody whether he is policeman or common man for not wearing mask.
