nA day long sit-in demonstration was held here on Thursday under the aegis of the Joint Trade Unions against the central government’s labour laws.
The umbrella body includes the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) and seven other major trade unions.
Union leader Sushil Sunny Agrawal alleged that the Modi government wants to commit loot through "black laws". He asked the Modi regime to end its "dictatorial attitude". Leaders of all unions and a large number of members attended the event.
