The district administration on Tuesday decided to impose shutdown in Bhuban NAC area of Dhenkanal district from August 5 to 7.
The decision was taken following 40 persons from the area tested Covid-19 positive. Out of the 40 cases, majority are local contacts. Intensive contact tracing and active surveillance would be carried out in Bhuban during the period, the district administration said.
All healthcare facilities like hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, including medicine stores, movement of ambulances and all medical personnel, Central and State Government officials on emergency duty, telecom services, media, petrol pumps, LPG agencies, grocery and milk outlets, movement of good carriers, industries have been exempted from the shutdown restrictions.
Besides, banks and other financial institutions are permitted to operate with 25 per cent of staffs. Dhabas on National Highways would remain open but no dining is allowed.
