Two vehicle lifters nabbed, car recovered

Shahjehanbad police nabbed two vehicle lifters and recovered one car and five motorbikes from their possession near 108 services office on Sunday, miscreant would visit steal motorbike from different parts of the city, said police.

According to the police acting on a tip off regarding two youths who were on a bike were nabbed and when they were quizzed regarding the motorbike they were not able to provide the details and document of the motorbike.

Later they confessed that the motorbike was stolen and in the further investigation the accused confessed that they have stolen one car and five motorbikes.

The nabbed miscreants were identified as Vicky alias Vakar Ahmed (40) of Shahjehanabad and Ubed Ahmed (39) of Kotwali.

A Mahindra Bolero jeep was recovered which was stolen from Shahjehanabad area and based on the information it was found in an abandoned state in  Shahjehanabad area.

Police have registered a case under section  379 of the IPC and section 41(1-4) of CrPC and started further investigation.

The miscreants habitual offender and has been booked for other crimes in the past. The details of the vehicle and owners of the vehicles would be searched in the further investigation.

Stolen bikes were recovered from different parts of the state capital which were kept by the accused after stealing them to hide and would sell them later. In cases of vehicle lifting apart from vehicle lifters aides help in disposing vehicles who would be nabbed in the investigation.
