In view of increasing backlog of samples at different testing facilities of the state, the Uttarakhand government has decided to send samples to the laboratory of National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) New Delhi. This information was provided by the secretary medical health and family welfare Amit Singh Negi during a meeting with senior officials of health department, all district magistrates and chief medical officers (CMO). In the meeting the Joint Secretary Government of India, Nidhimani Tripathi was also present.
She has been appointed by the GoI as nodal officer for Covid-19 in the state. In the meeting Negi directed district authorities of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar to sent 300 samples each to NCDC New Delhi.
