Valuables worth Rs 3.5 lakh including Rs 2.8 lakh cash were burgled from Gannakhdedi under Nazeerabad police station area on Tuesday. Police said that the victim Shivraj Singh Meena was asleep and in the morning he found that the valuables were found burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim in which the victim stated that he had gone to sleep early while other members later went to sleep. In the night miscreants targeted the house and escaped with valuables in the almirah.
In the morning when the victim woke up he found that the valuables were burgled.
The police said that as part of the investigation, CCTV cameras of the locality will be monitored. The neighbours have expressed ignorance over the burglary.
In the incident gold and silver jewellery and Rs 2.8 lakh cash were burgled. The total loss in the burglary is around Rs 3.5 lakh.
The locks were broken using cutters and which were found near the house. Within few hours miscreants broke the lock and escaped with the valuables which suggest that the miscreants were aware of the house of the victim.
Domestic help and security guards would be questioned in the further investigation. The police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the burglary was done by single person which could be ascertained from the circumstantial evidences.
