Vishwarang International Film festival starts today with fervour

Vishwarang International Film festival will start from Monday. This is will be organised from November 23 to 26, where 12 films will be presented. These films have been selected from different states and are in different languages. Pendeli Coco's "The white sheets", Aasif Moyal's "Zari waala Aasman", and Gond tribal based film "The Gond Art" which is directed by Anushtha Agarwal and Pranjal Joshi  that has  been awarded in different fields festivals will be presented. The film festival will end with the film "Rukhsana" directed by Mohammed Zorjis.

The programme will start with film "The white sheets", after which, The Celluloid Women, Zari waala Aasman, Bye Da Window, Anti Hero, Sondhyaani, Piraana, Winset before noon, Prashn, Gond Art Rukhsana and Dusky Beauty will be presented. Mohammed Zorjis and Astha Agrawal and many such amazing directors have directed these films. These films are spreading the message of Indian culture in different countries.

The film festival will feature screenings of literary films, science films, critically acclaimed films, expert sessions and masterclasses and some of the prominent names to participate in these sessions are renowned actor Mohan Agashe, Filmmaker, conservator – restorer Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, Atika Chouhan and Pubali Choudhury amongst others.

In coordination with renowned YouTube  channel, Get Set Parent with Pallavi, Vishwarang 2020 started it's first child literature, art and music festival. The programme is being organised from Nov 22 to 29 and will have 2 sessions per day. The first day of the programme started with the conversation between Pallavi and renowned writer Ruskin Bond.

In 1999 Ruskin Bond was awarded by Padma Shri for his excellence in literature field. His works like, 'Flight of Pigeons', 'Suzanne seven Husband', and 'Angry River' has been converted into films.

Before talking to Pallavi, Ruskin Bond inaugurated the programme officially. Ruskin Bond, who has been working in the literature field more than 70 years, started his journey in the age of 16 and 17. He shared that he was never after awards, he just wanted to write and spend his life like a educated person.

About his journey of writing about children, he said, he first started writing for adults.After the age of 40, he started writing for children.

He further shared, during his early age, his writing style was not specific, it was for every age group. Later, he started writing for specific age group and he gathered more appreciation for writing for children. His first novel's character Rusty was inspired from his own name and he wanted him to be called Rusty. During that time, he has spend more of his days in big cities.

In the end of conversation he shared, his book, 'How to become a writer' is very helpful for kids and he would love to gift them this book. Talking about the effects of corona on kids, he said this has affected kids more. Schools are closed and so are play grounds. He ended with his good wishes for the future of children.
