Under the Assembly By-Elections 2020, voters are being motivated to cast their votes in 28 assembly constituencies of 19 districts of the State through various SVEEP (Systematic voters Education and Electoral Participation) activities. Various activities are being organised for voter awareness, following the guidelines of Covid-19 in the by-election assembly constituencies.
Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mohit Bundas said that with the aim of motivating voters to cast
their votes, publicity is being done by Jagrukta Raths, short films, wall writings, hoardings, posters, banners etc. Awareness message is also being given to voters to cast their votes by putting a flex behind the auto-rickshaw. Special emphasis is being laid to educate voters on how to vote while protecting themselves from Corona infection.
Various competitions are also being organized under the SVEEP activities in the by-election constituencies. Street plays, folk songs, rangoli, mehndi competitions are also being organised by the district administration.
The importance of voting is being explained by Kalapathak teams. Cooperation of various organizations including N.C.C., N.S.S. is being taken in voter awareness campaign.
