While the bypolls in Madhya Pradesh are approaching fast, a war of words erupted as former Chief Minister Uma Bharti launched scathing attack on her predecessor Digvijay Singh on Monday.
Bharti had on Monday reached Mahakal temple in Ujjain and performed puja on the commencement of auspicious month of savan.
Later, speaking to the media persons, the firebrand leader bashed senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh whom she had trounced in 2003, ending her ten-year rule in the State. Bharti claimed, “In year 2003, I had tranquillised Lion of Raghogarh and he could not move anywhere after my shot.”
"I am daughter of goddess Durga and move around on lion," said Bharti taking forward the tiger analogy of Jyotiraditya Scindia which has become talk of the town in last few days. Bengal tiger was the reply from the former Union Minister when she was asked to describe persona of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Asked about her future role in BJP, Bharti called herself Mowgli, saying Mowgli (The famous character from Jungle Book) who remained in the jungle among wild animals and fears none. I could work like Mowgli without any fear whenever the party assigns her any responsibility.Citing health grounds, Bharti had announced to take a political sabbatical in year 2018.
