Webinar on media accountability, role during Covid pandemic held

A national webinar was organized to brainstorm on media accountability and role in the corona era.

It was held under the joint aegis of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University Bhopal, Kavitri Bahinabai Chaudhary North Maharashtra University Jalgaon and the Valuable Media Reaction Committee, Indore. . In this webinar, eminent journalists and editors from across the country addressed the webinar.

 Kavitri Bahinabai Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor of North Maharashtra University, Prof. PP Patil and Prof. Vice Chancellor. PP Mahulikar and Prof. Registrar Prof. BW Pawar addressed and expressed his views.

Addressing the webinar, city's senior journalist Praveen Dubey, he said that during the corona era, all media institutions have presented exaggerated news. News institutions do this only in the competition of TRPs. Therefore, media should show good content that positively impact society.

Senior journalist Kirti Rana from Indore said that it was the first experience of reporting in such a dreadful epidemic for all journalists. This is the most severe challenge after the plague epidemic. Corona has given journalists new experiences in journalism.

Nagpur's senior editor Prakash Dubey said that under all circumstances the media should report keeping in mind all aspects. Remembering Mahatma Gandhi, he said that do not look at bad, do not listen and do not speak bad, now the media should follow this. The reason for problems in  journalism is that the society do not consider the journalist important. Media is an important part of society.

Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University, Bhopal. Sanjay Dwivedi said that the media should show news with a sense of patriotism.

The webinar was conducted by Rakhi Tiwari, Head of Department of Journalism Department of Makhanlal University and Sudhir Bhatkar, Head of Department of Mass Communication Department of North Maharashtra University, Kavitri Bahinabai Chaudhary acknowledged.

Apart from this, in the webinar, the Chief of Jalgaon University,  Anil Chikate, Vinod Nitale,  Gopi Sorde, the Registrar of Makhanlal University, Prof. Avinash Bajpai, Maharashtra's senior journalists Rajesh Rajore, and members of different media organizations were present.
