Whose Congress is in State, Sonia’s, Rahul’s or Nath’s? Chouhan takes jibe

Pulling up MPCC chief Kamal Nath on ‘item’ comment, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Wednesday asked whose Congress is this in Madhya Pradesh, Sonia-Rahul Gandhi’s or Kamal Nath has formed Congress (K) in the state.

Chouhan’s remarks came after Rahul Gandhi’s public resentment against Nath’s ‘item’ remark and Nath saying he has regretted the incident and won’t apologise to anyone.

The Chief Minister said, He (Nath) was Dambhi and Ahankari (egoistic) and now this is indiscipline. He (Rahul Gandhi) is apologetic but Kamal Nath is declining to seek forgiveness, pointed out Chouhan.

Chouhan said it’s not the first time, Nath has taken a stand, different from that of the party high command.

“Earlier, he got Gandhi announce that farm loan will be waived off in ten days but did not fulfil the promise. He made Gandhi say he will offer Rs 4000 monthly unemployment allowance to jobless youths but later declined to do so,” recounted the Chief Minister. Now he is (Nath) not paying heed to apology instructions, it’s nothing new, he said.

Quoting an Urdu couplet on division in hearts, Chouhan asked none knows who will side with Rahul Gandhi and who with Kamal Nath in the Congress party.

“I am wondering it’s a Congress party of Sonia-Rahul Gandhi ji in MP or Kamal Nath ji has formed his own party Congress (K) in the state. The party workers are also facing a peculiar situation, whether to listen to Rahul Gandhi or to Kamal Nath in the state,” observed Chouhan.

Meanwhile, senior leader Manak Agrawal, a close aide of Digvijay Singh on Wednesday took a potshot on his party state head saying he should have apologised (to Imarti Devi) after Rahul Gandhi slammed his remarks. If Kamal Nath government had fulfilled promises, the Congress government could have run for five years, said Agrawal.
