With biggest single-day jump, Delhi’s Covid count 66,602

Delhi on Tuesday broke all its previous records of single-day corona spike with 3,947 new cases registered in the last 24 hours, taking the count to 66,602.

So far, 39,313 patients have recovered as per State health department’s database.

“With 68 more fatalities in past 24 hours, the death toll has touched 2,301,” an official from Delhi State Health Department said.

24,988 cases are active, he added.

The official said, “16,952 tests have been done in past 24 hours, in total, 4,01,648 tests have been conducted in city with 21,139 test per million.”

Delhi has 261 containment zones. 6,264 beds have been occupied and 7,125 are vacant and 12,963 patients are home quarantined.
