Woman lodges complaint against husband for giving triple talaq over giving birth to girls only

A 29-year-old woman lodged complaint of giving her ‘triple talaq’ over not having boy from marriage in the past 8 years at Reliable Colony on Thursday; Shahjehanabad police have arrested accused husband while father-in-law went absconding.The woman approached  Shahjehanabad police station and filed a complaint against her husband. She accused him of giving her talaq as she had three girls from the marriage and no boys.

The husband identified as Mohammad Osama used to demand to bring money from her parents for daughters while father-in-law used to demand money.Victim married Osama eight years ago who runs a Dairy and had three daughters from the marriage but Osama wished of son and frustrated from the three daughters he started atrocities on victim which was supported by his father.

Meanwhile, Kamla Nagar police have booked a man who attempted suicide by injuring himself using sharp edged weapon in a bid to threaten his wife and demanding money at Sabri Nagar on Friday.

Incharge of Kamla Nagar police Vijay Sisodia said that the two married recently and during dispute accused Mukesh Wankhede attacked his wife Vinita Wankhede with a blade and injured himself in his neck in which he was severly injured while victim escaped with injuries.

The treatment of accused is going on and his condition is reportedly critical, he added. The police have registered a case under sections 498 A, 324, 323, 506 and 309 of the IPC.In another case of Dowry Govindpura police have booked a groom who left marriage after his demands were not met at Natraj Community Hall on Thursday.

Based on the complaint lodged by bride Vaishali Jawade who stated that Vijay Wahane was scheduled to marry her refused at the marriage venue and left the venue as his demands were not met. The accused demanded Rs 5 lakh from the family of the bride which they refused and later accused left the marriage venue.
