A 22-year-old woman died on Thursday who had sustained burn injuries after she immolated herself at her house near Old Girls School on January 4 while undergoing treatment.
Later, the deceased, Samreen Khan, was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died on Thursday.
After the police arrived, the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The women had died after six days of treatment. On the day of incident, Samreen’s brother Sohail and her family members took her to hospital where she died during treatment.
In her statements before death, the deceased said that she was dejected from her life and wanted to end life due to which she committed suicide.
Police said that all possible angles behind the death would be investigated. The reason of deceased’s frustration remained unrevealed and would be investigated.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old girl was found drowned in a well at Peepalkheda under Gunga police station area on Thursday.
Police said that the deceased Habiba Ali went missing in the morning on Thursday and later she was found drowned in a well and she was rescued and taken to hospital where she was declared.
The body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
