As part of the fight against Covid-19, the Sangwari Mahila Samiti and NTPC Sipat donated 400 masks to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Samiti President Kamala Padmakumar and NTPC gave away the masks to Deputy Commandant Dinesh Kumar.
Various measures are being taken by Sangwari Mahila Samiti to combat the pandemic.
Besides giving Rs 50,000 to Red Cross Society, provisions have been distributed to the weaker sections while village women have earned extra income by stitching 5,000 masks.
They have also distributed sanitizer, masks and provisions to contract workers as well as grocery items and green vegetables to leprosy cured persons of Bilaspur and senior citizens.
