After accusing Opposition parties and anti-national forces of conspiring to incite caste conflict after the Hathras incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath once again warned people to beware of divisive elements in the state.
Yogi made these remarks while addressing office bearers of booth, division and sector of Deoria Assembly segment that goes to by-polls on November 3, through a virtual meeting from his Lucknow residence on Saturday.
Without naming Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, Yogi exhorted people to guard against their nefarious designs.
“Disunity, division, discrimination is in their DNA. First, they divided the country and now they are out to divide the society on caste, religion, community and regionalism, even as the victim family’s interest is paramount for them,” he pointed out.
The Chief Minister said that the BSP and SP ruled the state for 15 years but have only corruption and anarchy as dubious achievements. He asked party workers to disseminate the message of development initiated in this country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The graph of the BJP is heading north by the day which has in fact upset the Opposition apple cart,” he added.
Yogi said that as many as 50,000 children died due to Encephalitis in eastern districts of UP between 1974 and 2017. “Most of the deceased children were from poor families but nobody raised their voice for them. It is the present BJP regime in UP that resolved to root out the menacing disease and its tragic aftermath,” hee emphasized.
The CM also announced that Deoria Medical College would start functioning from the next session and a permanent solution of drainage problem in the district will be reached soon.
Yogi also lambasted the SP and BSP governments in UP for selling out sugar mills one by one and in the process disbalancing the sugar economy of the region, once termed as ‘Sugar Bowl’ of India.
State BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh exhorted partymen to work on the development model and make people aware of the welfare schemes run by the government.
