Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed to Ram bhakts to watch the live telecast of bhoomi pujan at their houses rather than heading to Ayodhya on August 5.
The Mahant of Gorakshnath Peeth, Yogi Adityanath also urged people to illuminate their houses and religious places by lighting diyas and candles and reciting Ramayan to celebrate the occasion on August 4 and 5.
“I think every Ram bhakt wants to attend the bhoomi pujan function but due to the pandemic and for security reasons, they cannot come. They should accept it as God’s wish and watch the pujan live on TV,” he said.
The chief minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would attend the bhoomi pujan to symbolise the representation of 125 crore people of India.
“The Ram temple will usher a new ray of hope and development in Ayodhya and adjoining areas which will have a rippling effect on UP also. Grand Deepotsav has been organised at Ayodhya for the last three years but with the construction of Ram temple the city is set to change as the area has been neglected for several decades now,” he said.
Yogi said that the present era could be termed as an age of human welfare and Bharat Nirman and it could also be called as ‘Ram Rajya’. He signed off with the slogan `Jai Shri Ram’.
