Fuelled with old enmity a 23-year-old youth was attacked by three miscreants with sharp-edged weapons at Sundar Nagar under Chhola Mandir police station area on Sunday evening.
Police said that a youth was rushed to hospital after he was attacked by three armed miscreant. The injured was identified as Surendra Malviya who was attacked by Pintu, Lala and Nikhil who with sharp edged weapons and thrashed him badly.
The condition of the victim is reportedly critical who is undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital.
In his complaint, the victim told the police that he was attacked by the three accused while he on his way to home after visting his aunt. Pintu attacked with sharp edged weapon in his stomach and Lala and Nikhil continued to thrash him and later escaped the spot.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 307 and 34 of the IPC. Lala and Nikhil hit the victim till he went unconscious and considering him dead they escaped the spot.
Police found that the dispute between victim and accused occurred three days ago during cricket match in which the two groups scuffled but fight was pacified after locals intervened.
On Sunday evening victim was on his way to home when Pintu along with two others obstructed his way at deserted area and attacked him.
