Suspended SO Anuj Saini accused of assault on BJP MLA last month in Iglas of Gonda police station has been reinstated but he did not receive any clean chit. A departmental inquiry from the SP city level is underway against the suspension and allegations against him. This investigation will determine the future of Anuj Saini. Currently, he was posted to the police line.
Anuj Saini was suspended after last month's incident at the police station and the concerned SP was transferred from here. The entire case was summoned from IG.
However, so far, no ATR has been sent to the district from the IG at the government level.
But according to departmental rules, Anuj Saini has been reinstated four-five days earlier after a month based on a compassionate request. Currently, he was posted to the police line.
His suspension and the charges against him are being investigated from the SP city level which is still in progress. Only after completion of the investigation it will be decided to get a clean chit and the future of Anuj Saini will be decided. According to SP City Abhishek, the investigation into the suspension case of Anuj Saini is still going on. The facts that will be revealed in the investigation will be presented further.
SSP Muiraj said that SO Anuj Saini suspended in Gonda has not received any clean chit. Yes, after thirty days of the suspension period has passed, there is a provision for reinstatement till the completion of the investigation. The allegations against him are being investigated by SP City. Further action will be taken according to the investigation. We have not received any orders from the government.
What is suspension-reinstated rules
According to the police manual, the suspended officer/employee, on any charge, is being paid half or even less salary during the suspension period. Simultaneously, a departmental inquiry into the allegations and suspension is done by a gazetted officer. The officer can be reinstated on compassionate requests even before the completion of the investigation. During this time, he is kept inside works away from the main works. On the completion of the investigation, if the crime is small as per the rules then the Misconduct is decided. If the offense is large, it is up to dismissal under section 7.
