CISF personnel are fighting on every front. Fourty-seven of them, who recovered from COVID-19, have volunteered to donate blood plasma to save precious lives of critically ill Coronavirus patients. Earlier, Constable Shrikant Dabral and Constable R Narendra Kumar of CISF Unit, IGI Airport, donated their plasma at Medanta Medicity, Gurugram and Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka, Delhi respectively.
DG, CISF, has also appealed to all COVID-19 affected personnel of CISF, who have already won the battle to come forward and extend their contribution.
NTPC, the power generating company has been honoured with ATD BEST Awards by the Association for Talent Development (ATD), USA. The company has bagged this award for fourth time in a row. For NTPC, the core of its ethos has always been about engaging with employees with innovative measures. The award is testimony to its contemporary HR practices. With a total installed capacity of 62110 MW, the group has 70 power stations comprising 24 coal, seven combined cycle gas/liquid fuel, one hydro, 13 renewables along with 25 subsidiary and JV power station.
Mahesh Kumar has been appointed as the new Deputy General Manager of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW). He has taken over charge from Pramod Kumar Chaudhary, who has been transferred to DLW/Varanasi.
During the nationwide lockdown, Kolkata Metro also suspended its services. Massive maintenance and overhauling of assets have been going on in North-South Metro for improving passenger amenities as well as infrastructure. These maintenance works will be very helpful for the commuters once the services resume. Recently, Electrical Department has taken up the work of painting the third rail of North-South Metro afresh.
