Dia celebrates one year of Kaafir

It’s been a year since actor-producer Dia Mirza played one of her career’s “most challenging roles” in the web series, Kaafir.

She believes that the message of humanity overcoming conflict in the series bears relevance in everything the world is going through right now.

“I think art has always found a way to transcend fear and prejudice and helped reunite our hearts and emotions seamlessly. We cannot allow fear to take away from ourselves and our communities. Kaafir is more than the touching stories it tells. It’s a constant reminder that the universe is limitless and meant for everyone,” Dia said.

She played the part of Kainaaz Akhtar, an imprisoned Pakistani woman.

Sushant (Singh Rajput) was full of life. I cannot digest the news of his death. It is too disturbing. He had everything. He always had this complaint, ‘Why don’t you cast me in ABCD?’ I would say, ‘Definitely, I will cast you. He was a good actor and a dancer. I was surprised he did not win the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 He was the best there.’

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput now has an Amul Butter ad tribute.

The new advertisement of Amul captures Sushant as a Bollywood talent, bringing alive the screen presence and charm he exuded in films like Kai Po Che!, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Sonchiriya in animation avatars.

Lyrics from Ik vaari aa, song from Sushant’s Raabta has been used to create the ad, “Ik vaari phir se aa bhi jaa yaara.”

Brad donates $1 mn to fight racism

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has reportedly donated $1 million to racial justice organisation to help fight the discrimination.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston secretly donated money to several charities, including Colors Of Change, an organisation formed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to use online resources to strengthen the political voice of African Americans, earlier this month.

Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper reported that Brad had donated the same amount after being “deeply affected” by the death of African-American George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.
