Delhi Govt demands immediate operation of Oxygen Express

Soon after a meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Chief Ministers of States

having high Covid-19 caseloads on Friday, the Delhi Government requested Indian Railways to start operating “Oxygen Express” trains immediately to save Covid-19 patients in need of medical oxygen in the national Capital hospitals.

Railway Board Chairman Suneet Sharma said the railways have received a request from Delhi just now, and the rail network system is planning its movement from Rourkela in Odisha.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the Centre to provide medical oxygen to the Delhi which is facing acute shortage of medical oxygen.
