Tuesday, 04 May 2021 | PNS | New Delhi

Sustaining the tempo of airlifting the much-needed oxygen from abroad, an aircraft of the IAF flew non-stop for 12 hours to bring home oxygen from Frankfurt, Germany. The C-17 transport plane ferried four empty cryogenic containers from there and landed at the Hindon airbase, Ghaziabad.

Similarly, another C-17 aircraft airlifted 450 oxygen cylinders from Brize Norton in the UK to the Chennai airbase in Tamil Nadu. In the past few days, the IAF planes carried out numerous sorties to ferry the containers from Singapore, Thailand and United Arab Emirates.
