Businessman Navneet Kalra, who is accused of hoarding and black marketing oxygen concentrators in the national Capital, was arrested by the Delhi Police from his brother-in-law’s farmhouse in Gurugram on Sunday evening.
On May 7, about 105 oxygen concentrators were recovered from two upscale restaurants Khan Chacha and Townhall in South Delhi’s Khan Market area. The restaurants are owned by Kalra. On Saturday, the police had transferred the case to the Crime Branch.
After the arrest of Kalra’s four associates — Gaurav, Satish Sethi, Vikrant and Hitesh — from Lodhi Colony in South Delhi on May 5, the next day, 419 more oxygen concentrators were recovered from another restaurant owned by Navneet Kalra and a farmhouse in South Delhi.
