Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in the northern region, Andhra Pradesh in the southern region, Bihar and Jharkhand in the eastern region and Gujarat in the western region are being adversely affected by the existing power crisis even as the Centre has gone all out to ensure States are not badly hit. There was no outage reported in Delhi, though, on Thursday.

Bihar and Jharkhand, too, are registering supply deficits of 5.12 mega units and 4.92 mega units respectively and resorting to eight to 10 hours of power cuts these days.
