Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday virtually asked “fence sitters” to leave the party, saying those who were afraid of facing the reality and the BJP were free to leave. He also opened the door for “fearless” leaders from outside, saying they should be brought into the party.
Addressing social media workers of the Congress at an online event, Rahul said those who were afraid had left the party and cited the example of Jyotiraditya Scindia who quit the Congress and joined the BJP to be later inducted into the Narendra Modi Cabinet.
Rahul said Scindia, now Civil Aviation Minister in the PM Modi-led Government, left as he was scared of facing the reality.
