CA to donate AU$ 50K to support India
Cricket Australia on Monday pledged 50,000 Australian dollars to support India's fight against the devastating second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and will also raise more funds in partnership with its players' association and UNICEF. The funds raised by CA will be donated to UNICEF Australia, which will utilise it in various relief initiatives in India.
Cummins allocates donation to UNICEF Aus
KKR' Australian pacer Pat Cummins on Monday said he has allocated his $ 50,000 donation to UNICEF Australia's India Covid-19 Crisis Appeal, a week after pledging the amount to PM CARES Fund.
‘It is in players' hands to make a choice’
South Africa's Director of Cricket, Graeme Smith said the country's cricket board is always there to help but it is up to the cricketers to decide if they want to continue playing in the IPL after it has been hit by the Covid-19 storm on Monday. “We've offered support to the players and made ourselves available to them should there be any concerns,” Graeme Smith was quoted as saying by iol.Co.Za. “Ultimately, it is in their hands to make a choice (about their continued participation).” As many as 11 SA players, including Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada are currently participating in the IPL.
