A webinar conducted by the ‘7 Hidden Layers’ on the subject of data analysis and artificial intelligence for senior secondary students of Ranchi based DPS, on Friday is the talk of the town.

The academic circle of Ranchi feels that the way concepts of data analysis and artificial intelligence were explained in a simple way has encouraged students to dig deeper.

The webinar was organized on July 23 with a focus to familiarize students with data science and artificial intelligence. Siddhartha Samant, a graduate in electronics and communication engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi was the lead mentor of the webinar. He vividly explained theoretical aspects of data science, primarily statistical mathematics and calculus/geometry. He also explained to students about the recent research paper, discussions and technological advancements in the field of artificial intelligence.

The webinar was divided in several parts namely deep learning, machine learning and artificial intelligence updates. The webinar remained throughout interactive and students were vying among each other to get their questions answered by the young tech wizard Siddhartha Samant who has also got attention at the international level for his high level of research and pioneering concept. The webinar was so interesting and informative that it extended beyond the schedule. Now foreign based academic institutions are approaching him to share his experiences and knowledge with foreign students.

CBSE has introduced data science and artificial intelligence as a subject for Class 9 to class 12 from academic session 2019-20. Decision is aimed to reduce the gap between the current technology and the old education system. This is because industries now expect students to be equipped with the latest soft skills.

Artificial intelligence has always left people mesmerized and curious. It refers to the ability of machines to perform cognitive tasks like thinking, perceiving, learning, problem solving and decision making.
