Saturday, 27 November 2021 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) would be laid in Rewari district and all the formalities related to its construction have been completed.

The Chief Minister announced this while addressing the Haryana Pragati Rally organised at Bawal in the Rewari district.

He said keeping in view the industrial development of Rewari, Haryana Government has deposited the necessary amount to the concerned authority for the establishment of Labour Court and to find a permanent solution for the problem of dirty water coming in Dharuhera.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated four development projects worth about Rs. 40 crore and laid the foundation stone for 14 projects to be completed at a cost of Rs. 112 crore. Union Minister

Rao Inderjit Singh, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister JP Dalal, state BJP chief OP Dhankar and other senior BJP leaders were present at the rally.

While congratulating the people of the state on Constitution Day, the Chief Minister said that our democracy, governance and federal structure works only because of the Constitution. On this day, in the year 1949, India adopted its Constitution, he said. He expressed his gratitude towards the architect of the Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and all the members of the Constituent Assembly. He also paid homage to all the martyrs on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, while paying homage to Shaheed Rao Tularam.

Addressing the Pragati rally, the Chief Minister said that during the last 7 years, development works worth about Rs 2250 crore have been done in Bawal assembly constituency. At the same time, about Rs 7,000 crore has been spent on development projects in Rewari district during this period. To bring in developmental

reforms in southern Haryana, including Rewari, the present Government has worked on the mantra of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’, he said.

Regarding demands placed in the rally, Khattar assured reviewing these demands at the administrative level.

Khattar added transparency in Government jobs and recruitment on merit is our motto.  During the tenure of the previous Governments, the interests of the youth were being neglected. The court had to intervene with regard to recruitments of the previous Governments and many recruitments were also cancelled. Not a single recruitment was cancelled during our Government, he added.

Whenever there was a complaint of a paper leak, the State Government had cancelled examinations. During the tenure of our Government, 48 people were arrested for violating the sanctity of recruitment, he said.

Following the path of Antyodaya, the Chief Minister said that a blueprint is being prepared in the State for education, health and infrastructural development. Wherever there is a need for schools, colleges, hospitals, it will be met simultaneously without any discrimination. Now schools, up to XII will be upgraded.

Under the Mukhyamantri Parivar Utthan Yojana, Antyodaya Melas will be organised from November 29 to December 15 to increase the income of BPL families of the State, he added.

Apart from inaugurating four major development schemes, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of 14 development projects at Rewari. Khattar also flagged off 5 CSR-provided ambulances from the rally site to Civil Hospital Rewari for the facilities of the patients.

Dedicating the projects, the Chief Minister said no development work would suffer due to shortage of funds.
