In the meeting of the district level Covid-19 Task Force, chaired by Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chhavi Ranjan on Monday, Ranchi Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), Vishal Sagar said that the vaccination work is going well in Ranchi district. Ranchi is one of the top cities of the country in terms of vaccination, people are getting the benefit of the vaccine doses being provided to the district as soon as possible, he added.
In the meeting, Ranjan reviewed the work of various cells constituted for the prevention of corona infection and Covid vaccination in the district. During this, he gave necessary directions to the concerned officials. In the virtual meeting, nodal officers, circle officers, block development officers; MOICs, PMU members and other concerned officials were involved in the virtual meeting.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took block-wise information about the ongoing vaccination work in the district. He directed to ensure timely start of vaccination work at the centers. Ranjan also asked the DDC to inform the concerned BDO and MOIC about the places where vaccination is to be done through mobile vans; he directed to conduct the vaccination through mobile vans at MGNREGA site also.
During the meeting, the Deputy Development Commissioner Ranjan was informed that wheelchair facilities would be made available at the vaccination centers soon, so that the elderly and handicapped would be at ease. He gave necessary directions to the concerned officials in this regard.
While reviewing the COVID-19 cases, the DC took information about the RTPCR, RAT and TrueNat test from the nodal officer of the cell. He directed to speed up the investigation along with increasing the sample collection. The DC directed to make available its report to the ADM Law and Order regarding the status of the investigation with TrueNat machines in different blocks of the district.
Ranjan took information from SDO Ranchi regarding the testing of the passengers coming at the airport, railway station, bus stand. It was told by the SDO that the work of sample collection and investigation is being done through different teams in different shifts. Ranjan directed the concerned officer to increase the team for investigation.
During the meeting, the DC also reviewed the installation of PSA plants in various Government hospitals of the district. In this regard, he inquired about the progress of the work from the Ranchi DDC. Regarding the operation of LMO tank and PSA plant, the DC directed to complete the preparations at the earliest.
While reviewing the work of Contact Testing Cell, Ranjan directed to ensure that all the functions of the cell are being done properly, he directed to ensure the treatment of positive patients in the hospital itself.
In the virtual meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the block wise coverage of the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana from KCC. From all the BDOs, he took turns about the applications received and the applications sent to the banks.
